Maximum PTO hours allowed to be carried over at year end.
Unused PTO time is allowed to be carried over no more than 200 hours / five weeks at the end of each year. The City Council's approval for carryover of PTO time over 200 hours will need to be based upon a finding of extenuating circumstances for that employee, such as the employee's illness, illness in the employee's family, or extraordinary work circumstances which cause the employee to alter his/her PTO plans for the benefit of city business.
