The Sheriff's Department reported 167 calls for service in May, including no Bar None calls, and the council discussed dog attacks and false alarms.

Newport Cardens used auto sales interim use permit
The council approved an interim use permit for Newport Cardens LLC at 20088 Ferret Street NW to allow used auto sales with no more than five used vehicles for sale at any given time, subject to the City Council findings and decision.

Dust control and damage to gravel roads
Administrator Lehner reported that the planned dust-control work was completed, and the council discussed problems with ATVs tearing up newly sprayed or graded gravel roads and the cost of calcium chloride.

City vehicle sales

Council Member Fladebo requested a work session because of a resident concern about the ordinance; after discussion and a withdrawn amendment by Council Member Breyen, the council approved having staff set a work session to compare similar rural cities' policies.

Project manager search
The council approved Resolution 2023-33 authorizing Administrator Lehner to begin searching for a project manager to help complete multiple city projects, with a priority list and action register to be developed for council review.

Twin Lakes Park goat mitigation
